December 30th FIFA 18 Tournament at Retro Game Bar

Our monthly FIFA 18 Tournament at Retro Game Bar is back on Saturday, December 30th to get your New Years Eve Eve kicked off in style!

After hosting K League Tournaments, a K League vs The World Tournament, and No 5 Star Team tournaments, we've removed all of the limitations and welcome you to play as any team in the world. Want to play as the Brazilian national team against Manchester City? Go right ahead! Of course, you're still welcome to play as any team in the game (and there may be prizes for folks playing below the 5 star rating), but there are no rules regarding team selection this time.

As per usual, there will be a small ₩5000 entry fee due in cash at RGB, but we're doing things a bit differently this time. The winner will still get the entire allotment of entry fees as a bar tab to spend any way they'd like, but there's a small 1+1 Korean style twist. If you bring a friend that's never played in one of our FIFA Tournaments, they get in FREE!

Oh, we'll also have double drinks for single prices. So bring a friend and then encourage them to buy you a round or two for getting into the tournament for free.

Game-play Settings

• 5 minute halves
• Substitutions: players are only allowed to pause the game if their team has possession.
• Injuries: On
• Off Sides: On
• Camera: Tele Broadcast

Format

Specifics on the tournament layout will be determined on the day based on how many participants we have. Both group play and double elimination are possibilities.

Score Recording

Scores will be reported to the score table by both players after the game and put up on a big board to keep track of group points.

General Rules

Though we in no way expect this to happen, K League United reserves the right to disqualify players from the tournament for misconduct or abrasive behavior. Please show respect and friendliness with the other participants and those running the tournament. Disqualified players will no longer be able to participate in the tournament and will automatically lose every match with the maximum score of 3-0.

However, since that's not going to happen, here are the more basic rules:

• All games will be played on a PlayStation 4.
• All players must play using the settings laid out here.
• Frequent and purposeful pausing during game play may be subject to disqualification.
• Every participant should be available for the duration of the tournament, or until their elimination. 
• If a player does not show for the game, they will lose that match by forfeit 3-0.
• If any equipment is lost or damaged by a player, said player has to pay for it.
• By entering this tournament, each participant consents to the posting and use of his or her name and/or photograph on K League United's Facebook, Twitter, and website. (We'll make sure you look nice!)

Choosing Teams

Teams are chosen on a first come, first served basis in Retro Game Bar's Facebook Event. No duplicates allowed, so sign up quick! Alternately, if you're not sure which team you would like, just sign up with your name and email address and we'll save a spot for ya!
