KLU Pod | K1 Shocks, K2 Title Race, and Tokyo 2020

Another action-packed weekend of Korean football sees shocks aplenty in the top flight, the K2 title race stay as close as ever, and the Taeguk Warriors pick up steam in Tokyo.
The original podcasting trio of Ryan WaltersPaul Neat, and Matthew Binns is back to run the rule over a busy weekend of football in Korea.

The first segment sees the three discuss a slew of shock upsets in the top flight, chief among them Suwon FC's 5-2 dismantling of the Asian Champs in Ulsan with Lars Veldwijk netting no less than four times and assisting the fifth!

As we're so fond of saying, "there ain't no party like a K2 party!" and the second division is living up to the hype with yet another team (Gimcheon Sangmu) claiming first place. The three go over the weekend's results and what they mean for the ever-changing title race.

Finally, the third segment has the Korean Men's National Team in the spotlight after an opening day loss to New Zealand and a much improved 4-0 victory over Romania in the follow up match. Ryan, Paul, and Matt discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of the first two matches and what they hope to see moving forward.

Lastly, the Eulji Lewis Mailbag has questions about pet hates in K League (hello VAR!), Spanish players in Korea, and FC Anyang's plans for a new football-specific stadium. All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast!
