K League United Becomes Official Partner of Sorare

Coinciding with the release of the brand new 2021 cards, K League United is delighted to announce our official partnership with Sorare! 

Developed in 2018, Sorare is a fantasy football game where you can buy, sell, trade, and manage your own unique virtual team with digital player cards. 

To celebrate the arrival of fresh card designs and the first ever rookie cards, we have a special offer for KLU fans: any person that sign-ups to Sorare through this link, will receive one free Rare card as a reward after purchasing five cards from the new card sales (primary market, both individual card sales and bundle sales)!

Need to know some of the basics first? We've got you covered!

Setting Up An Account

Creating a new Sorare account simply requires an email address, password, and username. Alternatively, you can sign in with a Google or Facebook account. 

Building a Team

As a new manager, you'll be given a starter budget and allowed to pick up 10 Common cards for free.

You can either go for "beginner" mode and let Sorare auto-select players for you, or you can build your own squad in "advanced" mode. 

Although we obviously have a preference for K League players, some of the best leagues in the world are available on Sorare, so enjoy looking around and building your team!

Once you have your 10 cards, you're ready to enter your first league!

Entering a League 

Known as a S05 Fantasy, every Sorare tournament is a 5-a-side game. Get started by choosing five players to enter into the Rookie League, a league made specifically for new managers. While playing in the tournament, you can earn new cards to use in other tournaments as well.

After entering four leagues or played for four weeks, you'll be promoted to "New Manger." Once that's done, there's no limit on the number of tournaments you can join for free!

Trading Players 

Along with the common cards you'll get started with, different types of players are also available for trade in the Sorare market:

Unique (1 copy) 

Super Rare (10 copies)

Rare (100 copies) 

Players are either auctioned or sold as instant transfers on the Transfer Market. They may be sold individually or as part of a bundle with several other players.

Earning Points

Your team earns points in the SO5 league games based on data from Opta. Points are awarded and deducted between individual players and the team as a whole. 

For example, one of your players scoring a goal is worth seven points. However, a red card or missed penalty will lose five points for your team.

Each tournament pays out rewards that include Rare and Super Rare cards, cash prizes, and much more!

The better your team performs, the better the rewards with some cards exclusively going to tournament winners!
