Team K League’s Fan Eleven Voting Update Ahead of Match Against Newcastle United

With the Team K League Fan Eleven voting period at its halfway point, K League has provided an udate on which players have received the most votes.

As of 1:00 PM on July 10th, Pohang Steelers midfielder Oberdan leads with 16,435 votes, followed by Jeonbuk attacker Jeon Jin-woo (16,304 votes) and Steelers left back Lee Tae-seok (16,135 votes).

But, the K League adds, "To maintain excitement, vote counts will no longer be disclosed starting July 11th until the voting ends."

Team K League’s “Fan Eleven,” who will face Newcastle United in the first match of the 2025 Coupang Play Series on July 30th at Suwon World Cup Stadium, is beginning to take shape. The Fan Eleven is selected entirely through fan voting, with the top-voted players per position being chosen: three forwards, three midfielders, four defenders, and one goalkeeper.

As of 1:00 PM on July 10th, three days before voting ends, Oberdan currently leads overall with 16,435 votes.

1st: Jeon Jin-woo – 16,304 votes

2nd: Lee Dong-gyeong – 13,654 votes

3rd: Jaisr Asani – 12,675 votes

Lingard is close behind with 11,604 votes.

Midfielders

Caio Marcelo and Byun Jun-soo are also in the mix, each having received over 10,000 votes.

Goalkeepers

1st: Jo Hyeon-woo – 13,960 votes

2nd: Lee Chang-geun – 11,348 votes

Fan Eleven voting is being conducted through the official K League app “Kick” and will run until midnight on July 13th. While real-time vote tallies for each player have been available hourly, the vote counts will be hidden from July 11th until voting closes to maintain suspense. Final results will be announced on July 15th. Fans who vote daily during the period will have a chance to win various prizes through a draw.

After the Fan Eleven is finalized, Team K League’s head coach Kim Pan-gon and assistant coach Lee Jung-hyo will select additional players, taking into account positional needs and club representation.
