Busan IPark Host International Day

Busan IPark's home game against Ansan Greeners on Sunday 28th October is the club's official International Day for 2018. With several events, competitions, and promotions on offer, as well as a vital match in Busan's quest for promotion, there's no better weekend to experience football in Busan.

Promotions and Special Offers

The club is offering 1+1 tickets on presentation of an ARC card. Therefore, the price for two general admission tickets is 10,000 Won. All expatriates will also be entered into a special prize draw with these top prizes up for grabs:

  • Air Busan domestic flights (1x round trip to Jeju or Seoul for 2 people)
  • Busan City Tour bus tickets (5x day tickets for 2 people)
  • Busan Samjin Amook Fishcake gift voucher (3x 30,000 Won voucher)

All you need to do is show staff your ARC or passport at the entrance, and the staff will enter you into the prize draw. In addition, Koreans and foreign tourists will be admitted half price and receive free candy if wearing a Halloween costume or face paints (5,000 Won general admission). Any foreigners coming as a group of ten or more will also each receive a free fan book (worth 10,000 Won). At half time, the Denstar dancing competition will reach its climax with a dance battle on the pitch.

The Game

With only three games of the regular season remaining and with Busan IPark in the midst of a thrilling race for promotion, this is a great time to visit the Gudeok Stadium. Busan currently sit in third place in the K League 2, but are only two points behind FC Seongnam, who are struggling for form. The top of the table team, Asan Mugunghwa, will be folding at the end of the year and are thus ineligible for promotion, giving Busan IPark a great opportunity to take their place in the top division.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch Busan's Korean international midfielder Kim Moon-hwan in the flesh, as well as Brazilian maestro Romulo, who has been one of the league's standout players this year.

Directions

Busan's Gudeok Stadium can be reached easily by subway. Take the orange line (Line 1) to Dongsaesin Station and take Exit 2. You will see the stadium straight ahead.

The stadium is in close proximity to the world-famous Jagalchi fish market, the Nampo shopping and street food area, and the Gamcheon Culture Village.

Hike to Victory

Foreigners and Koreans are also invited to a pre-match hike organised by the Busan IPark International Ambassadors. The hiking route passes through Jungang Park, past the Monument for the War Dead, and then up towards the peaks of Gubongsan (408m) and Eomgwangsan. It isn't too strenuous, however not for beginners (highest altitude is 505m, starting at sea level), and should take about 2.5-3 hours, with gorgeous views out towards Nampo, the Nakdong River, and Busan port from the top of Eomgwangsan.

At the end of the hike there will be the opportunity to go for lunch and makgeolli at a traditional Korean Duck Restaurant (approximately 8-10,000 Won per person). Well fed, the group will then head over to the stadium to watch the game.

The hiking group will be meeting at the bottom of Exit 1 of Busan Subway Station. In order to be on time for the game, departure will be at 9:10am sharp.
