2016 Korean FA Cup Semi-Final and Final

The draw for the Semi Final stage of the 2016 FA Cup has been made and it has not failed to disappoint with one interesting tie to be played in Ulsan, and the prospect of another historic upset awaiting in Seoul.

The ties are as follows:

FC Seoul vs Bucheon FC
Ulsan vs Suwon

Both ties wil be played on Wednesday the 26th of November at Seoul World Cup Stadium and Ulsan Munsu Stadium respectively.

The winners will move onto the final stage which has changed to a two legged, home and away format.

The KFA today decided that to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the FA Cup the final will be played over two legs, thus increasing the number of games played to 88 in total from the 1st round to the final.

This is the first time since 2007 that the final has been held in a two legged format, with all other 18 years of the competition seeing the final played over one game in a neutral venue. Back in 2007 the two legged final was won by, the then, Chunnam Dragons as they overcame Pohang 6-3 on aggregate.

This years final will be played on the 30th of November and the 3rd of December.
