2016 K-League Kits Reimagined: Part 2

Following up on the Away Kits in Part 1, and keeping in line with the Six Things K-League Can Learn From MLS series, our Incheon and Jeonnam columnists Marc-Élie Guay and Ryan Walters took on the challenge of reimagining all 12 K-Leauge Classic kits under the Adidas brand. The challenge included following the basic kit format and rules of Adidas and keeping all current kit sponsors. Additionally, each designer tried to keep in line with the branding each team is known for. Creative leeway was given, but within reason.

Here in Part 2 of the series, the focus shifts to the home kits, where there was much less creative leeway. By the rules the designers were to keep the iconic vertical bars of FC Seoul, Incheon, and Suwon FC, the hoops of Pohang, and Jeju's orange. However, both found ways to make the kits uniquely their own.

What do you think? Love em? Hate em? Have a favorite? We'd love to hear your thoughts about the reimagined home kits in the comments below, or you can join the conversation on Twitter @KLeagueUnited
Or contact the artists directly @H1ZUMI & @MrRyanWalters.

  1. Nice one lads! Liking the darker green for Jeonbuk. That rogue Jeju sock though would be a nightmare for me. Definitely would put it on the wrong foot

    1. Almost went with flat black socks on that one, but had to see the whole thing through. With it on the left it's just an easy remind of which foot doesn't work for me.

  2. Ooof that Dragons' jersey is shit. Was that a deliberate design decision?
That black shirt is nice tho. What team is that?
The Internazionale and Barca-inspired kits are decent too.

    1. Unfortunately these aren't for sale since they're not the actual kits... yet. :)

  4. Rumours today in the Jeonbuk fan groups suggests they may be considering Adidas next year. Perhaps they've seen your post?

    1. Is our article shared in Jeonbuk fan groups?

    2. Haha yes, I shared them in the foreign one. I meant perhaps Jeonbuk had seen it ;-)

Seriously though, if Jeonbuk do consider Adidas next season (sounds like there could be two manufacturers they're choosing from) it would be interesting to see what typical Adidas traits they would use in the design. Somehow doubt it will be as good as the one in this article.
