FC Seoul Sign a Defender (Finally!)
(image via goal.com) |
Based on his profile on soccerway.com,
he is 29 years old. His contract is for two years and obviously, he must
be Lee Woong-hee's replacement. He has a bit of K-League experience.
Before playing for Henan Jianye last year, he was with Incheon from 2011
to 2012 and Jeonbuk from 2013 to 2014, so he should be able to adjust to the
league rather quickly.
As far as last year, he featured in 29
out of 30 games, which is good. He started in 26, came in a sub in three
games, and was replaced in eight games. Dividing the number of minutes by
games played, he averaged around 76 minutes a game. He played a lot, but
as a defender he was subbed a lot. Was it because his team was chasing a
game?
Still, I am glad that Seoul have finally signed a defender. Hopefully he will be as good as Kim Ju-young was in 2014. Here is the announcement with an interesting English translation. As a Zionist, I wonder how outspoken he will be about the settlement in the occupied territories.
