Heavy snowfall causes havoc to K League Promotion-Relegation Playoff schedule

Heavy snowfall in Bucheon on Thursday meant that the first leg of the 2025 Hana Bank K League Promotion-Relegation Playoff 2 between Bucheon FC 1995 and Suwon FC could not be played.

The first leg never even got underway, even though the players and officials had made their way onto the pitch. With visibility an issue for the live feed and for VAR, not to mention player safety, it was decided that the game should be postponed until Friday 5th December.

K League rules stipulate that there should be 48 hours between games, so the second leg will now kick off on Monday 8th December at 7 PM.

In the other tie, Promotion-Relegation Playoff 1, Jeju SK earned a first-leg win away to Suwon Samsung Bluewings. A Yuri Jonathan penalty after 65 minutes earned the Islanders a 1-0 win to take into Sunday's second leg.
