#KLUpod | 2023 K League 1 & 2 Round 1 Preview

K League returns this weekend with the top-tier kicking-off this Saturday and Sunday before the second division starts their season on the following Wednesday. The K League United Podcast turns its attention to the opening round and gives their thoughts on what to expect from each match.

After a long pre-season, K League 1 finally makes its return on Saturday February 25th, kicking things off with the traditional curtain raiser of the reigning champions against the FA Cup Winners, or in this case, Ulsan Hyundai and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors respectively. Host Paul Neat along with regulars Matthew Binns and Jung Muyeol sit down to discuss this game and all five other matches in the top tier this weekend.

Following on, their attention turns to K League 2 which starts next Wednesday as each of them choose their game to watch from the first round of fixtures.

In addition to all of this, their are updates from K League's Media Days with interviews from FC Seoul captain Stanislav Iljutcenko, Incheon United captain Oh Ban-suk and Gimcheon Sangmu manager Sung Han-soo.

There's even time for this weekend's weather courtesy of Michael Redmond in addition to the Futbology Match of the Round, delivered by KLU pod debutant Andrew Farrell.

All this, plus a mailbag of your questions, on this week's K League United Podcast.
