KLU Pod | 2002 World Cup Rewind: Episode 1 - Opening Ceremony

To celebrate 20 years since the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan, and the Taeguk Warriors' incredible run to the semifinals, K League United will be reliving it all. First up, Paul and Matt talk about what was happening in the world at the time, the Group Stage draw, South Korea's squad, and more.

20 years ago, the World Cup came to Korea in what proved to be one of the most pivotal moments in the history of Korean football. With this in mind, K League United are going back to tournament to learn more, reviewing each match and welcoming a number of special guests to discuss the legacy in an eight-part series.

First up, Paul Neat and Matthew Binns launch the series with a bit of background information about the tournament and set the scene for the challenge ahead facing Guus Hiddink's South Korea side.

All this and more, on this week's K League United Podcast.
