KLU Pod | #ACL2021 Quarterfinal Recap, Semifinal Preview & K League 1 Split

The AFC Champions League 2021 rolls on with K League sides continuing to make waves across the continent as Sunday's quarterfinals saw teams secure an all-Korean club semifinal and, what's more, an East Coast Derby between Pohang Steelers and Ulsan Hyundai. We look back at the Round of 8, look ahead to Wednesday's semifinal, and then even find time for the upcoming K League split looming this weekend.

This week's K League United Podcast sees host Ryan Walters joined by pod regulars Matthew Binns and Peter Hampshire to look back at a thrilling weekend of K League football on the continent as the AFC Champions League quarterfinals took place in Jeonju.

The podcast looks back at Pohang Steelers' thrilling victory over J.League outfit Nagoya Grampus before turning its attention to the clash of the K League title chases Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Ulsan Hyundai, with the Horangi edging a 3-2 victory after extra-time in a gripping affair.

Attention then turns to the midweek match between local rivals Pohang and Ulsan, before then moving on to the final round of K League 1 fixtures before the split to predict who may make the cut and who will be scrapping it out in the lower half for the remaining five matches.

The Eulji Lewis Mailbag also sees discussions on the weekend's goals, attendance restrictions and how the AFC Champions League could look to adapt its format in the future.

All this and more on The K League United Podcast.
