KLU Pod | ACL Group Stage Recap

After 61 matches played across five groups in two different countries, the dust has settled at long last on the AFC Champions League East Group Stage and all four K League sides have made their way through to the Knockout Rounds!

Ryan Walters is back in the host's chair for the first time in a full month to recap and review the ACL East Group Stage and assess the performances of all four K League teams.

Joined by Matthew Binns and Dan Croydon, the three begin the pod with a discussion on whether or not the expanded format was a success or failure both in theory and in practice, including the effect CSL teams sending their youth squads had.

They then jump into a group by group discussion going over what went well, what didn't, naming a standout team and player, and debating what lessons the Korean sides can bring back to their domestic campaigns this month.

Lastly, the Eulji Lewis Mailbag makes its return with questions ranging from Daegu's depth chart to the Round of 16 match up that sees Ulsan Hyundai squaring off against Kawasaki Frontale! All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast!
