KLU Pod | 5 Things After 5 Rounds

With the first full month of the 2020 season in the books, we look back at what stood out most in the opening five rounds of K League 1 and 2, and the second round of the FA Cup.

Ryan Walters is joined by Peter Hampshire and Todd Wilde to discuss the opening month of the K League season and some of the biggest talking points from the month of May. In the first segment, the three discuss the early season title contenders in each division, whether or not they'll still be there at the end of the season, and the delightful surprise that is Suwon FC.

In the second segment, Peter and Todd take the lead to discuss the rough returns of Gwangju and Busan, and how the opening month may not actually be all that indicative of the season ahead. The second round of the FA Cup, and the overwhelming amount of K2 clubs that prevailed is also discussed along with what's still missing from the tournament.

Lastly, the hosts discuss the early season Golden Boot race, and the surprise starts for Seongnam FC and Bucheon 1995; two teams punching well above their weight thus far. They then hop into the Eulji Lewis Mailbag and answer questions about managers on the hot seat, the secret to beating Ulsan, and what could be a very interesting summer transfer window.

All that and more in this week's edition of The K League United Podcast.
