October 12th FIFA 20 Tournament at Retro Game Bar
You've had time to get used to FIFA 20, now it's time to see how you do against friends and fellow gamers! On Saturday, October 12th, we'll be hosting our usual FIFA Tournament at Retro Game Bar with just a few small changes from the FIFA 19 editions.
Our usual ₩5,000 cash entry fee is still in effect. Please bring cash to RGB on Saturday and pay the tournament organizer. There is also a one drink minimum to make sure the hardworking bar staff can make it worth their while. A drink minimum that shouldn't be too hard to hit as we now have a deal for ₩10,000 pitchers of beer!
Depending on the number of entrants, the winner of the tournament will either get the entire cash allotment behind the bar as a tab, or share some of the spoils with second (and possibly even third) place.
If that weren't enough, we're also giving away a brand new K League kit to the winner!
Game-play Settings
- 4 minute halves
- Substitutions: players are only allowed to pause the game if their team has possession.
- Injuries: On
- Off Sides: On
- Camera: Tele Broadcast
Format
Specifics on the tournament layout will be determined on the day based on how many participants we have. Both group play and double elimination are possibilities. If there are enough contestants for full group draws, we will do so beforehand to cut down on organization time at the bar.Score Recording
Scores will be reported to the score table by both players after the game and put up on a big board to keep track of group points.General Rules
Though we in no way expect this to happen, K League United reserves the right to disqualify players from the tournament for misconduct or abrasive behavior. Please show respect and friendliness with the other participants and those running the tournament. Disqualified players will no longer be able to participate in the tournament and will automatically lose every match with the maximum score of 3-0.However, since that's not going to happen, here are the more basic rules:
- All games will be played on a PlayStation 4.
- All players must play using the settings laid out here.
- Frequent and purposeful pausing during game play may be subject to disqualification.
- Every participant should be available for the duration of the tournament, or until their elimination.
- If a player does not show for the game, they will lose that match by forfeit 3-0.
- If any equipment is lost or damaged by a player, said player has to pay for it.
- By entering this tournament, each participant consents to the posting and use of his or her name and/or photograph on K League United's Facebook, Twitter, and website. (We'll make sure you look nice!)
