News: Ko Jeongwoon Steps Down as FC Anyang Manager
After just one season in charge, Ko Jeongwoon has stepped down as manager of K League 2 side FC Anyang.
Coach Ko was appointed as the Violets' new manager prior to the 2018 season with the target of reaching the top four.
Under Ko's stewardship, Anyang finished in a respectable sixth place in K League 2 and even headed into the final match of the season still with a chance of making the playoffs.
However, it was revealed on Monday 19th November that Coach Ko had stepped down and the Club are looking to appoint a new manager quickly.
From 36 games, Anyang won 12, drew eight and lost 16 under Ko during the 2018 season in what was was the former Pohang wingers' debut as a manager.
Anyang struggled for form at the beginning of the campaign but, through August and into October, the team went on an impressive run of just one defeat in nine before seeing the season out with back-to-back defeats and a draw.
