Transfers: FC Seoul announce the signing of Moon Seon-min from Jeonbuk

FC Seoul have announced the signing of Moon Seon-min, a renowned forward player with national team experience, to bolster the club's lineup.

To make a greater leap forward in the 2025 season, FC Seoul, which recently added national team left-back Kim Jin-su to their playing squad, have now strengthened the team's offensive lineup by recruiting experienced K League attacker Moon Seon-min.

With Moon joining FC Seoul, the team’s attacking depth—featuring players like Jesse Lingard, Lucas Silva, and Cho Young-wook—has been significantly reinforced, creating one of the best lineups in the K League.

Moon Seon-min, 32, who will now grace the pitch at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in the colours of FC Seoul, is a dynamic attacker known for his blistering speed and dribbling skills, capable of breaking through opposing defenses with a single move.

Moon Seon-min began his professional career at Sweden’s Östersund in 2012 after playing for Munrae Middle School and Janghoon High School. He continued his career in Sweden until 2016, playing for clubs like Djurgårdens IF.

He made his K League debut in 2017, introducing himself to domestic fans in the blue-black of Incheon United. Up until the 2024 season, Moon has played 227 K League matches, scoring 50 goals and providing 31 assists, firmly establishing himself as one of the league’s top attackers. On the international stage, he also made 17 appearances for the national team, scoring two goals.

Moon expressed his excitement about joining FC Seoul, stating, “I’m thrilled to join FC Seoul. I aim to make full use of my strengths, such as one-on-one breakthroughs, penetrating spaces, and calm finishing, to contribute with many goals and assists. I will do my utmost to help FC Seoul win the championship. If fans support us wholeheartedly, I promise to deliver performances worthy of their cheers.”

Having finalized his contract, Moon will report for training on January 3, where he will meet coach Kim Gi-dong and his teammates for the first time and begin preparations for the 2025 season in earnest. Meanwhile, FC Seoul’s first winter training camp will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam, from January 5 to 24.
