News: 2024 K League 1 Final A & B Fixtures announced

The K League on Tuesday released the fixtures for the last five matchdays, rounds 34 through 38 for both Final A and B.

A champion will be round, AFC Champions League berths will be earned, at least one team will suffer relegation. K League is approaching its finale with Final A and Final B.

The former, contested between Ulsan HD, Gimcheon Sangmu, Gangwon FC, Pohang Steelers, FC Seoul, and Suwon FC, sees Ulsan look to earn a third straight K League 1 title for the first time, while unlikely contenders Gimcheon and Gangwon look to make history. FC Seoul are back in Final A for the first time since 2019 and on the hunt for a first ACL spot since 2020.

At the bottom end of the table, at least one team will suffer automatic relegation while two more will have to go through the dreaded promotion-relegation playoffs. K League giants and 11-time champions Jeonbuk currently sit 10th heading into Round 34, having already faced the indignity of a first post-playoff era bottom-half finish in the club's history. Daejeon and Daegu, too, are looking to avoid relegation, and with only six points separating the bottom four, the relegation battle is the tightest it has ever been. Incheon United, the relegation escape artists, sit bottom of the table, three points adrift of Daejeon in 11th, and seven points away from absolute safety.

After Round 38, for the teams that finished 10th and 11th, there are the promotion-relegation playoffs. The team that finishes 11th will have a two-leg playoff with the K League 2 runners-up, with the second leg at the home ground of the K League 1 team. The team that finishes 10th will await the winners of the K League 2 playoffs. Third in K League 2 hosts the winner of fourth versus third over one leg and only needs a draw to advance to the promotion-relegation playoff final.
