Danrlei leaves Chapecoense for new challenge with FC Anyang in K League 2

New FC Anyang signing Danrlei is embarking on his first experience of playing outside his native Brazil. After playing for Chapecoense last year, the centre forward was announced as a new reinforcement for Anyang.
"I am very excited and grateful for this opportunity to join Anyang. Coming to a new country, with a different culture and style of play are exciting challenges for my career. I am fully aware of the responsibility I carry, but I am confident that I will adapt and contribute positively to the team,” declared the latest Brazilian to pull on the Violet jersey.
Danrlei also highlighted that he is focused on performing well at Anyang and thanked Chapecoense for last season. Wearing the Verdão do Oeste shirt, the striker featured in 28 matches and helped the team stay in Série B of the Brasileirão.
“I want to thank Chapecoense for the last year and Anyang for believing in my potential. I am determined to do my best, learn from this experience, and represent Brazilian football well in this new chapter of my career. I can't wait to start training and get on the field."

Born in Pará, Danrlei spent time at Independente Tucuruí and Paysandu before arriving at Chape. Furthermore, he won the Copa Verde in 2022 defending the colors of Papão.
FC Anyang are looking to earn a long-awaited promotion to K League 1 having come close in recent seasons.
Under new manager Ryu Beong-hoon, Anyang start the new season at home to Seongnam FC on March 1st.
