Ahead of Saturday's 1-0 friendly win over Iraq in Abu Dhabi, the Korea Football Association revealed South Korea's squad numbers for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar.

Stalwarts such as Kim Seung-gyu (1), Kim Min-jae (4), Hwang In-beom (6), Son Heung-min (7), Hwang Hee-chan (11), and Kim Young-gwon (19) keep their usual squad numbers.

Kim Jin-su (3), Cho Gue-sung (9), Lee Jae-sung (10), Lee Kang-in (18), Kim Tae-hwan (23) keep the numbers they were allocated for the 2022 World Cup.

Park Jin-seob, heading into what is his first major tournament with South Korea's full national team, gets the number 16 shirt made vacant by Hwang Ui-jo's suspension.

Fellow newcomer Lee Soon-min gets 13 - vacated by Son Jun-ho's predicament in China - while Kim Ju-sung is given number 24, Kim Ji-soo 25 and Yang Hyun-jun is 26 - reflecting the extra three spaces being given to younger players in the squad.

The numbers were used on Saturday 6th January in Korea's 1-0 win over Iraq in Abu Dhabi. Lee Jae-sung got the game's only goal with Seol Young-woo credited with the assist.
