Who's at risk of suspension for K League 1 final day?
With two matches left to play in the 2023 Hana 1Q K League 1 season there are a whole host of players who're walking a suspension tightrope with one more booking resulting in a one-match ban. This would mean that, if they are yellow-carded Round 37, they'll miss the final day of the season. For some teams, this could mean a key player being unavailable for a game that has the team's top-flight status on the line, or for the likes of Joo Min-kyu and Tiago it could be the difference in who wins the golden boot.
Returning from suspension
First of all, there are four players who'll miss Round 37 this weekend due to suspension and will therefore definitely be available for Round 38:
Lee Soon-min, Gwangju FC
Cho Yu-min, Daejeon Hana Citizen
Lee Chung-yong, Ulsan Hyundai
Kim Dong-min, Incheon United

Definitely suspended
However, Kozuka Kazuki of Suwon Samsung Bluewings is definitely out as his red card in the Suwon Derby means he is suspended for the Super Match and the visit of Gangwon FC on the final day.
One more booking
Ulsan Hyundai
The title is, of course, already sealed for Ulsan Hyundai but the Horangi will want to end the season on a high and will not want to lose to Jeonbuk. There are five players who could miss the visit of the Green Warriors, including a certain golden boot-seeking Joo Min-kyu who is on four bookings for the campaign so far.

Pohang Steelers
Pohang Steelers are already in the AFC Champions League Elite for 2024-2025 after winning the FA Cup but the final day clash with Gwangju FC could very well decide who finishes second. Pohang could be without two players, Park Seung-wook and Zeca who are both on four yellows for the season. Oberdan is also on four yellows but the Brazilian midfielder has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign through injury.

Gwangju FC
Gwangju have Lee Soon-min due to return from suspension but could be without Lee Min-gi who's on four yellows heading into the trip to Jeonbuk this weekend.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors
Jeonbuk, still hopeful of a place in the ACLE for 2024-2025, could have four players missing on the final day against Ulsan.

Incheon United
Incheon United's Harrison Delbridge is on four yellows for the season but has been ruled out through injury and so the Blue Black don't have any players at risk of suspension for the final day clash with Daegu FC.
Daegu FC
Daegu, though, have three players who could miss that visit of Incheon United in Round 38.

FC Seoul
FC Seoul have the Super Match up next, a fixture that has produced 41 yellow cards and three red over the last three seasons. That works out at just over four per match. Seoul have five players who are on four yellows meaning that a caution in the Super Match this Saturday would mean they miss the final day trip to Daejeon, including Osmar and Ki Sung-yueng who are both out of contract come December 31st. Willyan, too, could miss a trip to his parent club.

Daejeon Hana Citizen
For Daejeon Hana Citizen, with safety already secured and with the Purples unable to finish any higher or lower than eighth, the focus is more about Tiago Orobó aiming to become the first Daejeon player to win the K League 1 golden boot. Tiago is on four yellows for the season, meaning that a booking away to Jeju this weekend would mean he misses the final day and the chance to add to his goal tally of 16.

Jeju United
Jeju United are safe so for the islanders, there's not a lot riding on their fixtures with Daejeon and Suwon FC in rounds 37 and 38 respectively. Midfielder Kim Bong-soo, though, could miss the trip to Castle Park on the final day should he pick up a booking this weekend.

Suwon FC
Suwon FC
Suwon FC are still fighting for their lives and, technically, could still go down automatically. Kim Do-kyun is going to need his best players available for this weekend's clash with Gangwon FC but also for the visit of Jeju United on the final day. Lee Seung-woo, the club's top scorer this season, is on four yellows and so is at risk of missing what could be a crucial match.

Gangwon FC
Gangwon FC
Gangwon FC, too, are fighting for their lives and have just a one-point lead over Suwon Bluewings heading into Round 37. Yoon Jong-hwan is at risk of losing one of his first-team regulars Kim Young-bin through suspension for what could be a showdown clash with Suwon Bluewings on the final day. Brazilian winger Jefferson Galego is also just one yellow away from missing Bluewings away.

Suwon Bluewings
The Bluewings have three players at risk of missing the visit of Gangwon FC on the final day. Ko Seung-beom and Rodrigo Bassani have been regulars this season but Jeong Seung-won appears to be injured and unlikely to feature anyway.
