Incheon United host Suwon Bluewings in a must win midtable battle on Saturday
Suwon Bluewings make the short trip north to face fellow midtable side Incheon United on Saturday evening. Incheon desperately need a result here to fight off a possible slip into the relegation battle. Whilst Suwon Bluewings will be looking to jump back into champions league qualification contention.
Recent Form
Starting with the hosts Incheon United, their recent form as been to poor it bluntly awful. They have lost four and drawn one from their last five, and have failed to score in their last three. They created little last weekend against reigning champions Jeonbuk, whilst there single point against FC Seoul was aided by some kind VAR decisions.
Moving over to the visitors Suwon Bluewings who like Incheon are also on a poor run as of late. They have just a single win in all competitions from their last thirteen. They lost during the super match last weekend to a struggling FC Seoul by two goals to nil, further highlighting their current issues on the field.
What to Watch
Incheon United this season had been more confident in front of goal before the Summer break. That was thanks to star striker Stefan Mugosa, who has nine goals in fifteen appearances this season. However his danger is well known and opposing sides don't allow him an inch. Midfielders Elias Aguilar as well as Brazilian Negueba have been key creators, with a combined nine assists so far this season.Who to Watch
Costa Rican International Elias Aguilar is enjoying his third season with Incheon United and fourth in the K League overall. Prior to this season he wasn't known as a goal scorer but he's doubled his overall Incheon tally but scoring five times during 2021. However it's his set-pieces and creative ideas that Incheon fans love and are effective in helping Incheon push away from another relegation battle and into the relative safety of the K League 1 midtable. He'll be key on Saturday, but expect his talent to come off the bench.
