Writers Wanted for the 2019 K League Season
K League United is looking for passionate and proactive writers to join our team for the 2019 season! If you have always been infatuated with football and want to do something more than simply watch the games, then this is a perfect opportunity to dive even further into the game you love. Our writers work across a range of platforms to provide engaging content to a variety of audiences with one simple goal: getting more people involved in the beautiful game.
If you've been looking to break into sports journalism, expand a writing resume, interview professional athletes, or simply go into more detail on the way you see the game, then this is a perfect spot for you! K League United started in 2015 with the goal of uniting fan voices into one for news, updates, debate, and analysis of the K League 1 and K League 2 teams. With the goal of having a contributor for each team, the site aims to unite otherwise separated and isolated voices into one single entity for K League. Each writer brings their own perspective on their team, the league, or anything else they care to cover, KLU simply serves as a central hub for it all. From match previews and reviews to transfer rumors and gaming, we aim to discuss anything and everything fans may be interested in.
Our writers focus mainly on their local team and contribute to editorial and interview content for use across the site, social media, and video. The role will largely revolve around writing regular content for your team, but has a host of other opportunities as well. As of 2018, we have officially partnered with KLeague.com to provide English language coverage of the league, and since then our writers have been featured on KBS News, Huffington Post, Arirang News, Juego Magazine, and MLS' official website.
In addition to writing about Korean football, we have also partnered with Football Nation Radio in Australia for the weekly K League United Podcast; another medium for our contributors to voice their opinions on the league.
With the goal of covering all 22 teams spread across the top two divisions, we are looking for contributors for the following clubs:
K LEAGUE 1
Gangwon FC | Pohang Steelers | Sangju Sangmu
K LEAGUE 2
Bucheon 1995 | Suwon FC
