Transfers: Elias Aguilar Signs with Jeju United


Jeju United have completed their first major signing of the winter transfer window, acquiring the services of Costa Rican international Elias Aguilar from Incheon United.  Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

After a very disappointing season, Jeju United knew they would have to upgrade their squad in order to improve on a season in which they endured a stretch between early July and late September without a win in the league.  They have done so with the signing of 27 year old Elias Aguilar, who spent last season with Incheon United, and was widely considered as one of the best at his position.

The Costa Rican international, who debuted for his country at age 23 under Paulo Wanchope, has been capped fourteen times, his last appearance coming against Peru last November.  He also started in the friendly match against South Korea last September.

Aguilar was second in the league in assists with ten, and was named to the K League 1 Best XI.
