Daejeon Citizen Squad Numbers and Captains Revealed

Daejeon Citizen have announced their squad numbers and captains for the 2017 campaign which sees a new first choice goalkeeper named, two vice captains revealed, and prominent numbers allocated for Daejeon's latest foreign stars.

Former Jeju United stopper Jeon Soohyun has replaced Park Juwon as Daejeon's first choice goalkeeper and will succeed him in donning the number 1 shirt at Purple Arena.

Georgian attacking midfielder Levan Shengalia, on loan from Belgian First Division B side AFC Tubize,  has been given the number 7 shirt whilst forwards Pedro Henrique and Christian Dănălache have been given 9 and 10 respectively.

Former Republic of Korea international Kim Jinkyu will don the number 20 and indeed the captain's armband whist Jang Wonseok, number 3, and Lee Hoseok, 17, will act as vice captains.

Shin Hakyoung has taken the number 13 shirt previously worn by Jean-Claude Bozga whilst Kim Taebong has moved from number 2 to number 14.

Park Daehoon, who was number 17 last term, has been given the number 28 shirt meanwhile Kim Haesik who was previously number 29 will wear number 2.

Interestingly, Kim Haesik, who was originally on the first draft of players released by Daejeon Citizen, is seemingly a key part of manager Lee Youngik's plans.

Goalkeeper Lee Changyoung will wear 31, Kim Daeyeol in from Daegu is Daejeon's new number 8 replacing Kim Sunmin who was transferred the other way.
