As part of their preparations for the 2017 season Daejeon Citizen flew to Murcia in Spain earlier this week where manager Lee Youngik will put his squad through its paces.

The trip to Spain is Daejeon's second training camp of the winter having also made the annual visit to Tongyeong in Gyeongsangnam Province.

Whilst on the Korean south coast Daejeon went head to head with a number university sides, including Dongguk Univeristy, Jeju International University and Jeonju University, but the trip to Spain sees The Purples take on much tougher opponents including a perennial European Champions League side.

On Sunday, Citizen will take on SV Ried of the Austrian Bundesliga before a huge clash with Russian giants CSKA Moscow on 2nd February,

Another friendly is scheduled for the 4th February but as of yet an opponent has not yet been confirmed.

On Tuesday 7th February and Thursday 9th February Daejeon will face LASK Linz from the Austrian second tier and FC Dacia Chisinau of the Moldovan first division respectively before returning to Korea on 11th February.
