Suwon FC 1 - 5 Seoul E-Land FC : Recap

There aren't enough superlatives in the English language to describe the performance put in by Seoul E-Land in recording their first ever league win. This kind of display would give most Classic teams a run for their money let alone their Challenge opponents. Suwon for their part looked fairly flat but they were simply unable to live with their opponents on the day.

Brazilian forward Tarabai made his first start for the club as his running and harrying made a huge difference to the team. The Suwon defence were always on the back foot and with Kim Jae-sung and Cho Won-hee showing their class in midfield there was little let-up for the home team to collect their thoughts.

It was an all-action encounter and goals were flying in all over the place. The finishing on display was top-drawer at times and there are already one or two goal of the season contenders. It was great entertainment for the travelling support. The only downside was the smallish crowd of only 931 that were there to witness the match.

As It Happened:

'02 - In more or less their first possession of the match Seoul E-Land win a corner. Kim Jae-sung fires in a pacy cross and Carlyle Mitchell bullets a header home from close range. 1-0

'20 - Seoul E-Land get the all important second goal when a ball from the left finds it way to Tarabai who cushions it into the path of Kim Jae-sung to fire a shot to the keeper's left. 2-0

'56 - More good interplay from Seoul on the edge of the box. Joo Min-kyu executes a nice flick into the path of Cho Won-hee who has just the keeper to beat. He does so with a cool finish. 3-0

'60 - Suwon pull one back Kwon Yong-hyun but its not going to be enough. 3-1

'72 - A free-kick to Seoul on the edge of box sees Kim Jae-sung strike a magnificent rising effort which the goalkeeper manages to get a touch on but can't keep out. 4-1

'76 - Kim Young-keun pulls one out of the top drawer. He cuts inside the Suwon defence and lashes a wonderful curling left-footed shot past the Suwon keeper. An absolutely top-class finish.

Man of the Match: So many contenders for this one that you could almost give it to any of them. With two goals and one assist and a real captain's performance though it has to go to Kim Jae-sung.
